Christ, the ultimate sacrifice, was God's present or gift of salvation to us.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Regardless of how satan tries to cover up God's open arms of salvation in doing away with Christ in Christmas during this time of year, we keep our eye on the ball and remember why we're here and the work we have to do. This age is not for the redeemed; it is for the redeeming of His lost children.
Luk 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
Luk 15:32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
What is our gift to God?
Isa 18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered (tall) and peeled (shaved), and from a people terrible (powerful, morally to revere) from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden (explored) under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled (split, cleaved), to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
This is speaking about America, but the interesting word here is "present".
Probably from H7737; a gift (as available): - present.
A primitive root; properly to level, that is, equalize; figuratively to resemble; by implication to adjust (that is, counterbalance, be suitable, compose, place, yield, etc.): - avail, behave, bring forth, compare, countervail, (be, make) equal, lay, be (make, a-) like, make plain, profit, reckon.
Our gift is to equalize the flood of lies and confusion, even now, and to disperse darkness with light so that God may profit.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Mar 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
For this, God will give us everlasting joy:
Isa 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
Until the end of the age, stay salty, keep the Light shining, the Fire kindled and the Truth flowing to give back to our most generous Father.
